Hi Donna, thanks for your comments. I'm sorry you've been so marginalised in your studies in nutrition. I think the underlying problem is widespread allegiance to the values of white supremacy, which can show up in 'alternative' spaces as well as mainstream spaces. It seems this is what happened for you in functionial nutrition. I'm relatively new to using this framing to interogate my own work and realise it will be ongoing. As one bias shifts it make sit possible to engage differently with the next thing that needs noticing.
